Product Description: Definition of Conductivity: Conductivity is the ability of a substance to conduct electric current. It is the reciprocal of resistance. The unit of measurement is Siemens/cm (S/cm). A value of 10⁻⁶ is expressed as μS/cm, while 10⁻³ is expressed as mS/cm. An EC meter is a conductivity meter that measures in mS/cm. The unit of an EC meter is EC, and the EC unit is essentially the same as the mS/cm unit, i.e., EC = mS/cm.
